What We Do

Water From Air works to solve one of the most critical challenges in the world: access to safe, reliable drinking water. We use Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) to produce clean water directly from the air, without the need for wells, pipelines, rainfall, or large infrastructure.

Our mission is to provide long-term water independence to communities, schools, villages, farms, and organizations impacted by drought, water contamination, or unreliable infrastructure.

Our Focus Areas

1. East Africa – Clean Water for Schools & Villages

Many communities in East Africa rely on unsafe water sources or walk kilometers daily to collect water. We install AWG units in schools and villages to provide:

  • 200–400 liters of clean water daily
  • Safe drinking water directly on-site
  • Reliable supply even during drought
  • Fewer waterborne diseases
  • Improved health and education outcomes

Each installation includes training local operators and ongoing monitoring.

2. India – Water Access in Drought & Heat Zones

India faces severe water scarcity due to extreme heat, groundwater depletion, and contamination. We work with communities, schools, and partner organizations to install AWG units where traditional water systems have failed.

Our goal is to create sustainable water hubs that provide daily drinking water for families, children, and vulnerable communities.

3. Water-Smart Farms – Sustainable Water for Agriculture

Many farms in Canada and other countries face strict water restrictions, usage limits, or fines. We support water-smart farming by providing AWG systems that help:

  • Reduce water usage
  • Avoid fines and penalties
  • Support livestock hydration
  • Improve sustainability
  • Reduce reliance on groundwater

AWG systems help ensure stable water availability throughout the year.

We are developing a pilot program to support Canadian farms and rural operations with water-from-air technology. Many farms are facing stricter water rules, drought conditions, and high costs linked to water use.

Our goal is to:

  • Test atmospheric water systems on real farms
  • Support farmers in reducing pressure on local water sources
  • Help farms comply with environmental and water-use regulations
  • Work with Canadian agricultural funding programs to co-finance these pilots

This work is intended to be supported mainly through Canadian grants and partnerships, rather than public donations, so that our donor funding can stay focused on drinking water projects in East Africa and India.

How We Deliver Impact

1. Fundraising

We raise funds transparently for specific installations, starting with our current East Africa Project.

2. Equipment Deployment

We source reliable AWG systems that work efficiently in both humid and dry regions.

3. Local Installation

We coordinate on-site installation with local technicians and partners.

4. Training & Handover

Community members are trained to operate and maintain the AWG system.

5. Monitoring & Reporting

We track water output and community impact, and publish:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Installation updates
  • Daily water production data (when available)
