Below are answers to the most common questions about Water From Air, our mission, and the Atmospheric Water Generator technology we use.
1. Is water-from-air technology real? Does it actually work?
Yes. Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) have been used for many years in schools, farms, homes, emergency relief efforts, and commercial settings around the world. They work by extracting moisture from air, condensing it, and purifying it into clean drinking water.
We only use AWG systems from established manufacturers with verified performance in India and other humid or warm regions.
2. How much water can an AWG machine produce each day?
Depending on the model and local climate, a typical system can produce 20–1,000 liters of clean water per day, or more in suitable conditions.
This is enough to supply drinking water for a school or a small village.
3. Does the machine work in dry regions?
Yes. Even in hot and dry areas, the air still contains moisture. AWG systems are designed to operate efficiently in climates found across East Africa and India.
Production varies based on temperature and humidity, but even during dry seasons these regions still have measurable moisture in the air.
4. Where will the first installation take place?
Our first funded installation will be in East Africa, in a school or village where children currently lack reliable access to clean drinking water.
As soon as the installation begins, we will publish photos, videos, and updates.
5. How do I know my donation actually goes to the project?
We believe in full transparency. For each project we:
- Publish updates
- Share photos and videos
- Share data on water production
- Report on installation progress
- Provide community impact updates
You will be able to see the real results of your contribution.
6. Is Water From Air a nonprofit?
Water From Air is currently a Canadian federally incorporated organization. We are preparing to register as a nonprofit charity.
Donations made through Donorbox support our installation work, project expenses, and operational costs necessary to carry out the mission.
7. How much does one AWG system cost?
Costs vary by manufacturer and capacity and the size of the project, including:
- Equipment
- Shipping
- Transport
- Installation
- On-site training
- Initial maintenance period
Our East Africa fundraising goal reflects these costs.
8. Who installs and maintains the equipment?
We coordinate with:
- Local technical teams in East Africa and India
- AWG manufacturer specialists
- On-site operators trained during installation
Communities receive training to operate the machine daily.

We will post updates at every major milestone:
