As we prepare our first installations in India, we are evaluating several water-from-air technologies that are already working successfully in real-world conditions.

One of the most established systems is Meghdoot, developed by Maithri Aquatech (Hyderabad, India).

Meghdoot Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) require:

  • no groundwater
  • no piped water
  • no external water source

They generate clean drinking water directly from humidity in the air.

These units are already used across India in:

  • Schools & colleges
  • Public drinking-water kiosks
  • Municipal buildings
  • Hospitals & clinics

We believe that technologies like Meghdoot can play a major role in solving drinking-water shortages in the areas we serve.


How This Technology Works

How Atmospheric Water Generators Create Water From Air

The process typically involves:

  1. Air Filtration – removing dust and pollutants
  2. Cooling & Condensation – cooling the air to the dew point
  3. Water Collection – turning vapor into liquid water
  4. Purification – UV-C, carbon, and multi-stage filtration
  5. Mineralization – adding essential minerals
  6. Storage – sealed, food-grade safe water tank

This process provides clean drinking water in places where groundwater is unsafe, depleted, or unavailable.
